Meet GYM. Although she is a little secretive with her personal details, we do know that she is in her 30’s, lives in Vancouver, recently become a Mom and had originally started one of the most popular personal finance websites on the internet (which she later sold, and started her new site). Keep reading to find out a bit more about her..
I’ve broken down my questions into 4 sections:
Without further ado…I’d like to introduce you to GYM!.
Where do you live: Vancouver BC
Tell me something awesome about your city: It is beautiful in June, July, August, September (and this year, May). Othertimes it’s called Raincouver for a good reason.
What do you do for a living: I’d rather not say 🙂 Right now I’m an parental leave so I am living as a mom.
Are you married: Yes
Do you have any Kids? Pets: One kid, One dog.
Why do you blog: Creative outlet, It used to pay pretty well (haha)
In your opinion – what is the best thing you’ve ever published: I thought I was being really realy witty here, “The Ultimate Recipe for FIRE”
Favorite Movie: I liked This if 40 and I also like Babel and Crash. I can’t pick just one or maybe I don’t have much of an opinion, haha 🙂
Favorite TV Show: How I Met My Mother or Friends
Favorite book: Security Analysis (I’m joking, I’m reading this right now though!)
First Job: Going door to door canvassing for donations
Have you ever been fired: No
Which website do you spend the most time on:My own website, tinkering on it
Favorite Cocktail: Sangria
Favorite Beer:Stella Artois
Favorite Sports Team: I don’t have one, but my husband loves the Capitals (like LOVES them).
Have you ever been arrested: No
Dogs or Cats: Dogs
Sex or Beer: Eh?
Does your spouse/partner read your blog: Yes, sometimes.
Best restaurant in your city: Bridges on Granville Island when they used to have the oyster burger.
How often do you check your portfolio(be honest): At least once or twice a month
How often do you check your website stats (be honest): At least daily(understatement). Unfortunately it’s on my phone so it’s easy to refresh.
What do you put on your hotdog: They have a Japadog here that is delicious and put seaweed and mayo and all sorts of good stuff. I would put onions (sauteed and caramelised), ketchup, a bit of mustard, and mayonnaise.
